Simcenter Amesim 2D Converting Library
This application provides a model library for simulation of a converting machine based on detailed physical models of its components within Simcenter Amesim.
The 2D Converting library allows to analyze the machine dynamic behavior in time and frequency domain considering mechanical design, material properties, control strategy and machine disturbances.
Simcenter Amesim 2D Converting library allows to evaluate the dynamic behavior of a converting machine based on detailed physical models of mechanical, process and control elements like winders, driven axes, passive rollers, dancers and the web behavior. The provided components can be used and parameterized according to the machine specification.
The following use cases can be performed:
- Study of web tension and web speed in each web section of the machine
- Study of the influence of the mechanical setup and web parameters
- Study of the influence of unround winder and roller geometries
- Study of influence of disturbances (e.g. out-of-round idle rollers, sliding between web and roller)
- Evaluation of different technology control strategies
- Evaluation of drive mechanics and control parameters
